GB4 has been created to offer drivers graduating from karting or club racing a significantly lower cost route onto the single-seater ladder.
GB4 is a direct feeder series to higher open-wheel categories, running in close alignment with MSV's already successful GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC. GB4 runs primarily on the same British GT race programme, offering teams an excellent platform from which to enter both series.
Teams attracted to the series include several GB3 operations, plus some of the country’s leading Formula Ford and sports car teams.
The championship meets the need for an affordable alternative for drivers beginning a single-seater career, with costs reduced when compared to FIA F4 following the introduction of its new car. GB4 aims to offer drivers the chance to contest a full season of competitive single-seater racing in Britain from £300,000.
Each GB4 Championship race weekend includes a 15 minute qualifying session and three 18 minute races. The grid for the first two races is determined in qualifying, with each driver’s quickest lap forming the race one grid, and their second quickest laps establishing the starting order for race two.
The third race will be a top 12 grid reversal with extra points awarded for positions gained as well as for each driver’s finishing position. All scores count towards a driver’s end of championship position.
The minimum age to compete in GB4 is 15, with the minimum licence requirement being Race Club. Testing is unrestricted.
A significantly enhanced TV offering for the GB3 Championship means the majority of races are streamed live online. This strengthens GB3’s comprehensive free-to-air broadcast package, which includes the extension of MSV’s partnership with ITV to broadcast a one-hour highlights show on ITV4.
All races will be streamed live on the internet in full-HD, and will feature detailed on-screen graphics showing race positions and intervals between drivers.

Additionally, Elite Motorsport is a supporter of the Ginetta Scholarship that runs at the end of every calendar year.
We are able to provide drivers with pre-scholarship Ginetta Junior testing available at Blyton Park, in order for new drivers to familiarise themselves with the machinery before heading into the coveted scholarship.
