Tom Emson contests the final Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup Championship event of the season at Brands Hatch next month (8-9 Oct) looking to secure the series runners-up position in the series.

The Elite Motorsport ace delivered a near perfect weekend in the latest event, scoring four podium race finishes including two victories at Silverstone (24-25 Sep). The GT4 SuperCup raced at the “Home of British Motor Racing” for the first time since 2019 with a bumper four-race weekend, the postponed reverse grid Round 14 final race from last month’s Thruxton event, added to the schedule alongside the normal triple-header.

Tom qualified on the front row for the opening race, going on to record his second win of the season by over seven-seconds in the 16-lap race. Again starting from the front row, Emson claimed second place in the re-scheduled Round 14 race then missed out by just 0.306 on another win having led every lap of Race 3 from pole until getting overtaken on the very last tour.

Starting Race 4 from the second row in the reverse grid finale, Emson led from lap five to the chequered flag to register win number three, overcoming intense pressure in the closing stages, plus recording the fastest lap. Tom now lies second in the championship, 29-points ahead of the third-placed driver with just the three races remaining at Brands.

Eddie Ives, Team Owner & Manager:

“Tom and the team were rapid all weekend.

“He’s really got his head around the driving style of the G56 and to take two wins and two P2’s was fantastic.

“All of the races were extremely exciting to watch and it was such a shame to miss out on the win on Sunday morning.

‘I’m really pleased for Tom and look forward to the finale at Brands Hatch where we hope to cement P2 in the Driver’s championship.”
