Hibbert (Triple M Motorsport) headed to Cheshire with fond memories of a double GT4 SuperCup victory there in 2017, and his speed around the Oulton Park circuit was clear once again as he topped the timesheets in official free practice on Friday.

He followed that up with pole position in qualifying the next day, his second in a row after also setting the pace last time out at Croft. Carlito Miracco (Privateer) took a superb second on the grid, with Mike Epps (Team HARD) completing the top three.

The opening race of the weekend followed on Saturday afternoon, with Hibbert putting in a supreme drive to lead from start-to-finish for his third win of the season so far. Miracco ran second in the early stages, while a fast-starting King (Elite Motorsport) shot into third.

An unfortunate issue for Miracco dropped him down the order, with King capitalising to take second place for his 20th GT4 SuperCup podium finish to date. Epps ran third to the finish on the road, however a five second track limits time penalty dropped him down to fifth.

Will Burns (Rob Boston Racing) therefore took the final podium position, while on his return to the championship, two-time race-winner Declan Jones took a great fourth place finish in a Ginetta G55 prepared by his own Declan Jones Racing outfit.

Reece Somerfield (Elite Motorsport) completed the top six ahead of Simon Rudd (Rob Boston Racing), with Fin Green (Total Control Racing) taking eighth on the road before a track limits penalty dropped him a position in the final classifications.
